How To Wash A Swimsuit By Hand？

Just like you may already know, the way you wash your bathing suit can have a great impact on it. To keep the color and texture of your bathing suit, small changes to your regular washing are essential.

However, before washing your bathing suit by hand, it is essential to check the producer’s labels for the recommended way of washing it. Some producers use materials that only hand-washing can hold up the fibers and maintain the shape, while others use materials that are suitable for both machine-wash and hand-wash.

1. Fill a bucket or sink with enough cold or warm water.

2. Add a teaspoon amount of laundry detergent. Here, it is essential to use detergents that are produced for spandex and delicate fabric like a bathing suit.

3. If there is no mild laundry detergent, use baking soda or white vinegar. They can remove dirt from the bathing suit without causing any damage to the suit. Ensure to use only one of the products. Do not use both of them together.

4. Submerge the material in the water solution to allow the detergent to permeate the suit well.

5. Soak the bathing suit for 10-30 minutes. The soaking should not be more than 30 minutes. Soaking it for a longer time can loosen the fibers in the suit.

6. After the soaking, wash and rinse the bathing suit in cool and clean water.

7. Hang it on a line to dry or lay flat to dry.
